Drag racing is something that we are very passionate about. Bobby (the patriarch and founder of Memphis Auto Repair) was drawn to fast cars at an early age and raced cars at Collierville drag strip in the 1960s and 70s. He also did a lot of match racing around the Mid-South in the early 80s with a 1972 Hemi Challenger. After a brief hiatus due to the lack of places to race in the Mid-South, he began racing once again when Memphis Motor Sports Park opened in 1987. His son Robby began racing as soon as he became old enough to drive at Byhalia Raceway and Memphis International Raceway. Between the two they have enjoyed a fair amount of success at the dragstrip, both on a local and national level. Presently, they have a Nova they race when time permits in foot brake and a top sportsman corvette they race in NHRA, IHRA, and PDRA.
